At one time Cabellas sold a fairly sturdy 1" collar that was embroidered. I ordered two and both lasted for years. I just purchased the more recent product, which was much lighter, smaller, and a poor substitute. Garbage.
I've had only positive experiences with these collars. I've had them for multiple dogs and my current 2 dogs have 2 sets... one that I had modified and turned in to the set with their electric fence receiver on it... and the other for when we go walking or to the dog park. I think they're great collars... really easy to get on and off (I prefer the ones with the pinch release instead of the buckle) and to wash. I love the embroidery, and purposefully order the bright colors so the embroidery will stand out the best. We always get lots of compliments at the dog park!! The only thing I'd caution is that if you have multiple dogs and they play or gnaw at each other... I did have a problem one time because my parent's lab gnawed on my lab's collar and broke the pinch release plastic. He's an especially tough chewer, but just something to keep in mind when choosing between that pinch release and the buckle version.
I think these collars are great...I purchased {3} three. Blue, orange and green. The clips are strong and the adjustments are easy;even on one that has some age on it. Plus the confidence I have with the dogs name and my phone number, plus area code embroidered into the collar. In the event one of my dogs got lost...
This collar was everything it was promised to be, well stitched and a strong collar, everyone who sees it comments on what a great idea it is and asks where they can get one!
