I troll the Fingerlakes in NY for lake trout and have found that when I need to call the fish in, the Spin Doctor does it. I usually put a mylar fly 22 inches behind the Spin Doctor and clip it 8-10 feet behind the downrigger ball. I also sometimes run it behing a Dipsey Diver. It mostly catches lakers, but rainbows , landlocked salmon, and brown trout hit it too. If you need fish for dinner, put the Spin Doctor on and start the grill !

I found this flasher to be unacceptable. It caused line drag and line twist. They should call it the fish repel.
