I want this product to work but it is so difficult to retrieve even a small fish at 20 feet can easily break 10 pound mono. On a recent trip for hybrid bass we had several good hits but did not boat a single fish. My guest actually gave up using these and asked if we could try something else. More rigging information would be very valuable! I think I will try the Tripzy Diver.
I have 3 of these: 10, 20, and 30. They dive about the right depth and are easy to use. The only problem is that any little leaf or weed or grass will make it pop to the surface. Most always keep your eyes on it.
This is a great product for trolling light lures at precise depths with a linecounter reel. I like to run small spoons behind jets for eyes and white bass/wipers suspended over deeper water. The jet diver allows you to run light lures that cant dive that deep to be run. Combining info from dive charts with a linecounter will get you to the right depths with a jet diver. The only reason I didnt give the highest rating is that they do not "roll over" to allow you to fight the fish without fighting the jet diver unless you modify the diver (which I have done). I own 9 jet divers of various sizes and use them a lot.
