Great Gadget
Date:
I get quite a bit of wind here so it is fun to have a gadget to tell me how hard the wind is blowing and what the wind chill is. I wish it could tell me both at the same time. The Min/Max reset is tedious compared to others I have.
I had it mounted on the deck rail but when the snow came tumbling off the roof, it got burried. After about a week of sunshine, the snow melted down and I saw the temp vary from the 32 degrees it alwayas read and recovered the unit. Mounted in the open on a post and it still works. Sturdy construction. Buying more for gifts.

Nice Item
Date:
Just bought 2 of these one for myself, one for my parents. I really like mine for the price I think it would be hard to beat this purchase. Temp in & out, windspeed, windchill displays. Here in Montana it is nice to know things like that. Very happy with the buy.

You get you money's worth

Works good and is versatile. I have a 3 story house and cart the receiver around with me and don't have problems with reception. The only draw back I can see as of now (it' winter so the heat index can not be evaluated) is the min / max readings. The min for wind, as most days, will stop blowing. The min. indicator always reads zero. If I reset the unit when the wind is blowing I will get the present reading, but like I said, the wind usually takes a break. Thus so with the windchill. Not sure why, but the min adjusts and records the max change and the min. reading does not read for whatever reason. I'm reasoning it has something to do when the wind is not blowing.....but too lazy to think the whole thing through. The price now offered is interesting. When I purchased the sale price is what is now called the "regular" price. At the today's sale price this unit is a great find.
