As a contractor in the mountains of NE TN and W NC, I'm often out in remote areas. I have found the altimeter, compass, and weather trend features accurate and helpful. The Thermometer feature helps keep me out of trouble when working with temp. sensitive products, and when we pour concrete. In addition to all these useful attributes, I love the way cool look of the watch-La Crosse outdid themselves on this one!

Good purchase. The downside is the temperature does not give the correct temp when you are wearing the wristwatch.

I purchsed this watch for the altimeter option and it seems to be pretty accurate. The watch is pretty complicated to figure out at first and certain features of it are hard to read. All in all it seems to be pretty good quality and was what I expected.

My sense of direction is challenged, but the compass, after you calibrate it, provides a good reference to keep me from having to call the Wife for rescue. Watch has all the basic features I was after: Dual alarms (one for lunch, one to go home); Altimeter is handy when driving mountain passes to anticipate the snow level; Count down timer keeps me from burning steaks; Chronometer works great, but would rather they called it a stop-watch (easily confused). Back light feature is something you wonder how you've lived without up to now. Very light weight and versatile time piece.
