Custom-style paint jobs
Dead-on-lifelike body postures
Incredible durability
Motion bases
This is the end result of more than a decade of research and refinement by nationally renowned goose hunter Fred Zink and world-champion decoy carver Rick Johannsen. Their ultimate decoy creation takes a goose spread to another realm of realism. Dead-on colors, amazing feather detail and precise body postures flat-out duplicate live geese. Their custom-style paint jobs will surpass any production decoys ever created. Incredibly rugged, they’ll withstand the “throw-and-go” style of many hunters – individually bagging decoys isn’t needed for these extremely realistic workhorses. Avian-X decoys are so detailed they even mimic male, female, dominant and subdominant birds. This attention to detail harnesses the power of individual-goose realism, turning a decoy spread into a lifelike flock. Best of all, Avian-X decoys are exceptionally durable. They’re made of advanced plastics with the perfect amount of all-temperature, impact-absorbing flexibility. Seamless heads and a direct-connect head-attachment system eliminate splitting, (NOTE: It is recommended to permanently attach the heads with PVC glue). Rock-solid 11-1/2" metal bases adjust for precision movement control. Per 6. Imported. Available:

I purchased a set of the FEEDERS and must say they are as real as it gets. My dad is old school and saw them in the garage, went to touch them, and goes wow, those look real!! LOL. As for the paint, I dropped a couple handling them and noticed no nicks so it seems durable. I was able to put the heads on all of them w/o glueing, and they seemed to fit tight enough that they would not come off in a strong wind. I"m hesitant to glue them on b/c they are much harder to transport that way knowing a drop the wrong way could cause them to break off. I has the bases on concrete so they obviously seems sturdy. For the price(on SALE), I don't see how you could go wrong.
I bought a few boxes of these decoys and they look amazing. I didn't have any problems with the paint coming off and I threw them around pretty good all season (no decoy bags used) and they still look perfect. Motion systems were a complete joke. I don't understand why someone like fred would choose this motion system, so I bought enough ghg real motion systems for each decoy and cut a hole in the bottom of each one like ghg decoys, put the systems in and now I'm happier then ever with these avians. Great job Freddie! Just change the motion systems please, this gets expensive!!
Box was destroyed upon arrival, one of the bodies was fully flocked without a head to fit it, (I ordered painted bodies), motion system is weak at best, round base is not stable in wind, head glueing is a pain, other than that I have harvested geese over them. I guess thats what counts. Would I buy more? Not until the bases are improved and the motion is comparable to GHG. Come on Zink you can do better than this......
I bought these decoys December of last year, because they looked fantastic. Until I noticed that you could rub the paint off with your finger! To bad Zink had to put there name on these decoys. Why couldn't they have both, fantastic realism and durability...? Buy GHG or Big Foot's.
