Great Product
Date:
A good realistic elk decoy. Only downside is stakes could be made of fiberglass rather than metal to make it lighter. Used it last year and was very pleased.

Spike Got Startled
Date:
Last fall in September, I had a spike elk coming into my stand, and @ 60 yards he saw my Montana Cow Elk Decoy and it startled him. He stopped and lunged and froze and then decided he would walk the other direction. In this case the decoy did not do its job, but I think I will keep using it. Good Quality, easy setup.

Antelope and Cow elk decoys
Date:
I have both and each has shown it is a great item to have. I have used the antelope decoy quite a few times and have had several bucks come into it. There is a little learning curve to using one. I have had most bucks run their does off and then come back to challenge the decoy. You have to be back behind the antelope farther than you first think and with the cow elk you need it to be behind you to hold other elks attention. With a little practice I think you would find it worth while hauling one around in you day pack. I would also like the steer decoy for rifle hunting antelope.

Montana Cow Elk Decoy
Date:
This decoy works so good that I used for both elk and antelope hunting by pinning a white cloth onto the rear end of the cow elk. The trophy buck antelope came 1/2 mile to see this elk decoy with the cloth and made it sure shot easy. Elk came to her within 25 yards before stopping which made that an easy kill too. I recommend Montana decoys because they work!!!
