Avery® Flocking Kit

  • Contains enough material to flock 30 heads
  • Great for touch-up work
  • Easy to use
The only thing that looks more natural than a flocked head is the real thing. Kit contains enough material to flock 30 heads to give your decoys rich, deeply colored heads that can be the key to finishing wary geese. Great for touch-up work, too. The easy-to-use kit includes 7 oz. of flocking material, shaker bottle, 1" brush for large areas, 1/2" brush for detail work, sandpaper and one pair of latex gloves. Imported.

Bought also without reading reviews. Put glue on and flocking. Next day flocking all shook off. Tried it again a few days later thinking I did something wrong, gess it wasn't me. It was a poor product.

Waste of Time
Date:
Word of advise, read all reviews before buying anything. I usually do but when I bought the flocking kit I neglected to do so. Do not buy this item. I have been overall very satisfied with all purchases from Cabela's. Not so in this case. The adhesive is VERY shiny and does not hold the flocking at all. When first completed the goose heads I did looked great. The next day after drying, a light tap on the bill would cause all the flocking to fall off and all you're left with is a shiny head. Cabela's should not carry this product and Avery should be embarrassed to produce such a product. I gave 1 star because it wouldn't let me give 0.

Worst Kit you can buy
Date:
Did a dozen canadian heads with this kit. Checked them after an hour and the sun shined so bad on the heads they looked better without the flocking kit added to them. As said in the one of the other reviews, the adhesive has a terrible shine you cant cover completely with the flocking material. The kit also says it will do up to 30 heads. I flocked 12 heads barely! I should have did more research online before purchasing this product.

horrible product
Date:
The epoxy that comes with this kit is a very bad idea for putting on decoys. When it dries it is really shiny, even with the flocking on it. I did 12 goose shells and the heads need to be redone or thrown away.
The best way to flock decoys is to buy a spray can of flat black oil based spray paint. Flocking can be purchased separately online. When you are ready to flock, spray a heavy coating of the spray paint on and then sprinkle the flocking on.
Do not buy this kit!
