first crossbow

Reading the reviews has helped make my choice. The TenPoint XLT crossbow has a decent trigger system. Easy to cock with the crank. Just be careful to center correctly. I doubt it can be done by hand. Also I needed a lot of adjustment on the elevation for the scope but eventually centered the bolt with a broadhead at 40 yds. Had to try this as I just got my handicapped permit for archery. Shot several deer and wild boar with a compound bow. Now will try the crossbow on pigs. The only drawback is the length of time to reload. Seems to take about 30 seconds.

TenPoint Great XBow
Date:
I always wanted a crossbow and was initially ready to purchase the Parker Tornado. After shooting both, though, I couldnt resist the TenPoint Stealth. The smoothness, accuracy, and power is unparalleled, in such a compact bow. The Acudraw system which comes with the package is incredibly easy to use, and convieniant. Will pay a little more, but you you will appreciate the quality TenPoint provides.

Outstanding Crossbow that has accuricy of a rifle
Date:
I spent several weeks deciding to spend the money for this Stealth XLT with accudraw. It was well worth the money for compact, and very accurite crossbow. It took 3 shots to shoot in and myself and the wife can hit a 1.5" dot at 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards with the 4 dot scope that comes mounted and calibrated on the bow. The accudraw cracking system that cocks the bow is very easy to use and stows away on the bow and is not in the way of shooting. I have 2 other friends that bought the same bow and are as pleased as myself. My advice you get what you pay for (spend the extra money) up will not be disappointed.
