Excalibur Axiom SMF Crossbow Package

Ideal for emerging crossbow hunters, the Axiom SMF provides a versatile blend of speed, power and lightweight carrying convenience in one value-loaded package. Like all Excalibur crossbows, the North-American-made Axiom provides superior accuracy and reliability, along with plenty of horsepower to tackle any of North America’s largest game. It features a 175-lb. draw weight and a 14-1/2" power stroke, making it extremely easy to cock, yet capable of producing bolt speeds up to 300 fps. The ultralightweight, black-fiber-reinforced main frame is ideal for carrying on a long day afield.

My first crossbow,and couldn't be happier. I haven'r owend a bow in over 30 years of any kind. took it out of the box put it together after watching the video (which is worth watching). Took it out to shoot and never had to do anything to the scope. My first six shots at 25 yards I was able to cover with one hand. if you are a beginer like me this is a grat way to start, and if your my age you'll never need another one. I would reomend this bow to anyone.

Bought my Excaliber Axiom through Cabela's and received it in just a few days! Assembly was easy and quick. Had a problem with the included scope. Once installed, couldn't get it to shoot high enough at 10 and 20 yards. Adjusted the scope as far up as possible, but it still shot low. After a rear ring adjustment (had to rise it just a bit), this crossbow did the job. Shot 2-3" groups from 10, 20 & 30 yards! Can't wait to get in the woods. Between my vertical and cross bows, I can't be happier! Cabela's customer service ws the best.

Excellent bow! Very easy to assemble. This is NOT like most bow packages you will buy. The parts are all Excalibur brand and of great quality! The axiom is light simple to use and VERY accurate. Right out of the box I was shooting a two inch group at 25 yards. Buy one!

This crossbow is very accurate. The velocity was 280 fps. with the carbon arrows tipped with 150gr. field points. I've changed the string to a flemish dyna flight and gained 13 fps(293fps). Once sighted in at 20 yrds the aim points of the scope were right on the mark even at 50 yrds.
The bow can be decocked using the cocking aid is a plus, and the tactical style stock gives it a rifle like feel.
I've added the S5 to quiet it down, but still its a bit loud, shouldn't be an issue though.
