Castalia Outdoors Bombshell Turtle

Game fish despise egg-raiding turtles – that’s why species like largemouth bass won’t let these lures pass them by without attacking. Wide body delivers a tantalizing slow descent with pulsating leg action that draws more strikes. Use a weighted hook or 1/16 - 1/8 oz. slip weight pegged at the head and a 3/0 worm hook Texas rigged into the hook pocket. Conical head shape fits snugly to worm weights. Per 6.

Bombing Bass with the Bombshell Turtles in WI
Date:
There's one thing I discovered about the Bombshell Turtle- THEY WORK!
I purchased the Bombhsell Turtle last year and used them on the rural cranberry marshes of Warrens, WI and SLAMMED the bass with them.
It says on the package to run them Texas rig or Carolina rig, but we found that the weight of the turtle was compatable with our bait casters to cast it free style (without weights).
The key to working this turtle is to work it so slow it hurts, simply run it gently and slow over the weed beds and spawn beds, and watch the bass go insane over this thing.
Also this winter, we experimented with the turtle ice fishing and had great success. We ran the turtle rigged drop shot and jigged in deeper water. There were times the turtle outfished shiners, we used the slider color turtle as it was lighter colored and we found the fish responded it it better.
