River2Sea Dahlberg Clacklin' Crayfish

Beyond looking exactly like a real crayfish, the Clacklin’ Crayfish perfectly mimics the real thing. During the retrieve, its hinged tail appears to actually grab water and push it forward in a true-to-life motion. Fish it like a jig, or swim it across the bottom; it even sinks like a real crayfish. Equipped with a River2Sea 2X Strong #5 hook. Patent pending. Per each.
Length: 5".
Weight: 1 oz.

Best Crawfish hard bait
Date:
To date, this is the best hard crawfish hard bait out there. It comes in two sizes and I expect Cabelas will pick up the second size soon.
I have been fishing with these for a season now and it catches large Brown Trout, Bass, whatever eats crawfish.
Like mentioned in the first review, learn how crawfish move and fish it like it. I prefer to do a long cast, let it settle to the bottom, then reel or "jerk" it to get the tail thumping. I then let settle to the bottom.
Most fish take it on the onset of the reel (as the crawfish tries to escape) or on the fall.

As real as fake can get
Date:
Its about time Cabela's!
I have fished this crayfish going on two seasons now, and will recommend it to anyone willing to listen.
First, research crayfish in your area. Find the closest color match and tie it on.
I have caught several fish, either on the fall or by retrieving it. On the retrieve, you want to feel the "thumping", similar to a crankbait.
If you give it your full attention, you'll have more than one because they can catch fish when the bite is slow, or when the fish are roaming for breakfast.
Lastly, don't forget to experiment. You can reel...and then kill it. The more you understand crayfish, the more successful you will be!
