I know you're supposed to fish minnow shapes for trout but I caught rainbows trolling little john md. Maybe they thought it was a craw.

It gets down deep, the chart/black is a loud color, good for less clear conditions although I did fine trolling this in clear waters of Charleston, Vermont (Echo Lake). The pics don't do it justice. Also caught a bass. This bait has a good left to right commotion. Screams for attention.

great lure!

This bait has not left my crankin' rod since mid-march and its now october 30! Phenominal bait, i especially like the spooky shad but have also had results with citrus shad in muddier waters. Try one and see for yourself! With several fish between 4-9 lbs in indiana I can definetely say I will never be without my lil john!
