I attended the Indianapolis Sportsman show back in the `90`s and had some custom rods made and was given this lure called a Salmo Deep Runner. The guy told me I would catch more fish on this lure than anything I had in my tackle box. Yeah right! I finally tied this lure on one day trolling and could not believe the results. I usually troll for crappie but this lure had every species in the lake eating it! The dace color has been the overwhelming winner. I use 8lb test and the depth is right on the money. If you like to troll, sneak one of the these on your line with your fishing buddy and see what happens. I have trolled a Salmo alongside every other crankbait out there and there is no comparison to the number of fish you will hook. All my buddies have this lure in their boat now too.
