Does not work. The snare was very stiff. Was able to catch crab only after I replaced the snares with 40lb. test nylon fishing line.

Did not work

I bought 4 of these and they were so cheap, why not try it. The plastic snares are too thick and will not pull tight when pulled. Your crab must be the size of a chicken to pull it tight. Crabs don't weigh that much unless you are in Alaska. Caught nothing and let them soak for a short period and long period of time. Do not try this for blue crab. Maybe rabbits.

This is a snare that does what others don't -- catch the keepers and drop the little ones. Undersized crabs fall from the heavy loops, but legal ones stay put.
