The Leather Belt-Style Bullet Pouch lets you keep your ammo within easy reach for a quick reload. Made of heavy full-grain leather. Double flap keeps ammunition secure. Stud closure. Fits the Civil War belt or any other 2" width belt. Size: 4-1/4"W x 4"H. Colors: U.S./Black, C.S./Brown.
This thing works great if you let it break in first. As in LET THE LEATHER SOFTEN UP ! After this happens it will not leak. If you are still worried about this buy the percussion cap pouch from Dixie, and use it for balls. It has a built in device to keep the primers in and will work on balls as well. I wish they made this available without the US/CS markings. I have already fought that one long enough.
This is a really good quality pouch and the walnut oil is very pretty. I have had no problems with this particular pouch myself. Plus I own one very close to it, made by Triple K from 20 years ago. I can tell everyone that the stiffness will go away in time. In regard to the round balls falling out, this pouch has an inner flap. Once you fill it with your lead balls, just tuck the inner flap down inside the pouch and they will remain secure. Then just fasten the outer flap and everything should be fine. In regard to this item not fitting a 2" belt/Triple K Civil War CS Belt; it will fit. At first it may seem like it won't, but it is because the leather is stiff and in time will soften up. Speaking for myself, I don't desire my bullet pouch moving all over the place, so tight is good. I wrote a review about the CS Belt, so perhaps you can read it. This is without a doubt one of the finest pouches on the market for the money. Triple K will stand behind their products and so will Cabelas. Whenever I need something, this is the only place to shop.
