Luxury Lite UL Cot™

  • The lightest, most compact cot on the market
  • Adjustable support
  • Up to 325-lb. weight capacity
  • 16" x 5" pack size
The Luxury Lite UL Cot™ is the most comfortable lightweight cot in the industry today. At less than 3lbs., it’s perfect for your backcountry adventure. Packing down to only 16" long and 5" in diameter. It packs so small it will fit inside a pannier, backpack, kayak or saddlebag. The tough, waterproof Dimension Polyant laminated sail fabric is mildew- and mold-resistant, won’t absorb water and blocks out harmful UV rays. It has a carry weight of 2 lbs. 2 oz. for those weighing less than 200 lbs., and 2 lbs. 12 oz. with the included extra support components to accommodate sleepers weighing up to 325 lbs. The side poles are made with gold-anodized Easton 7075-T9 aluminum. The durable nylon feet disperse weight to save on your tent’s floor. People 7’ tall will sleep great on the Luxury Lite UL Cot because there’s no crossbars at the top or bottom to hit your head or feet on. Fits in most backpacking tents because of its low rise – only 4.5" off the ground. If it doesn’t fit in your tent, no problem – just slide it under the tent, tarp or bivy floor. Use your Cabela’s series pad or any closed-cell pad on top for cold-weather camping. Made in USA.

The best $$ ever spent
Date:
Now the word luxury may not seem appropriate on a back pack hunting trip, seems like an oxymoron of sorts. But let me tell ya, combine this cot with a good mat and you'll be a better hunter. I bow hunt the high country, I've scrutinized the weight of everything I carry and even with this product I still pack under 30 pound for 3-4 days. Buy this and you'll be impressed with the quality for sure.

You get what you pay for
Date:
it's not cheap but there's nothing like it out there. Once you get over the initial sticker shock and put this thing to use you'll find yourself, like I did, showing it off to your friends and family. It's a great marriage of the comfort and versatility that comes with the ground clearance of a cot and the lightweight and size of pad.
Pros -
- Very light weight & smaller than a standard backpacking pad rolled up.
- Keeps you above the ground so there's no more worrying about rocks, roots or uneven/lumpy ground giving you a back ache.
- Due to the above mentioned features it's comfortable especially when you're not worried so much about weight and combine it will a standard pad between the cot and your sleeping bag.
- Better comfort than a heavy air mattress at a fraction of the weight.
- Capable of holding a tremendous amount of weight for it's size and weight. Exceptionally durable.
Cons
- Price is double what you'll pay for a standard pad but your getting so much more.
- Set up can be a challenge and requires adequate space and a fairly flat surface to accomplish. It can also take some time.
- Because the material is drawn so tight it can be very noisy as you move and settle in. This can be bothersome to the others in and around you.
- When set up it's very rigid so there's no option to cram it into a space that's too small, ie a one man tent may be too skinny in places and the cot's rigid corners will poke out.
Overall this is an absolutely phenomenal product. It's about the most innovative and effective breakthroughs I've ever seen in outdoor products. A real achievement.

Set up takes a little time...
Date:
I used this for a week in June up in Quetico Provincial park. Very comfortable and it's very nice not to worry about roots or sticks underneath you, and even better... if the floor of the tent gets wet, you are high and dry! It will take you a minimum of 10 minutes to set up, at least the first few times and I still can't set it up in less than ~8mins. It is also lighter than the mid-weight Thermarest that I had been using.
The ONLY issue I ran into is that if you are doing a quick set up in your tent in the rain, it's somewhat difficult because you have to be able to stand up so that you can use your feet to hold the side rails while you bend the support rods into place. Your camping gear will be in the way, and your buddy gets to stand outside while you struggle to get this thing together in the downpour. Other than that, TOTALLY worth the money.
FYI, there is a synthetic foam cover that is available online that is specifically designed for this cot. I haven't used it, and it's a little ridiculously priced too, but if you're going first cabin, you're going first cabin!

THIS COT IS AWESOME
Date:
First let me say that I have quite a few back problems from being in the army for 4 years and a 15 months tour in iraq as a ground pounder. after I got out I have been trying different sleep systems to use when I go back packing, I have tried X-pads and other similar air mattress all to no avail, I did not sleep well and my back hurt in the morning. After alot of research I found this cot with great reviews, yes the cost is high, but I wanted to be able to go backpacking and get good sleep, so I ordered this cot. once I got it , it was very easy to set up and very comfortable, so I then went on a three day backcountry navigation trip, and slept on several different kinds of ground and I felt like I had been sleeping on a bed of air the entire trip ,I woke up refreshed and my back did not hurt. It weights next to nothing and you can brake it done and put the poles in different places. Bottom line is this cot does exactly what it say it will do and it does it well, if you have back problems or just want better sleep while backpacking BUY THIS! I am 5'6 and185
