Cabela's Alaskan Guide® Cot Four-Piece Combo

Our redesigned Alaskan Guide Cot is a first-rate example of our field-testing dedication. We made the powder-coated steel frame even sturdier with larger, beefier brackets and hinges on the frame and legs. Its oversized 82"L x 32"W sleeping area is constructed of PVC-backed, 600-denier nylon. Folds down to 42-1/2" x 8" x 9" to fit in an included nylon carry bag. Imported.
  • The patented Cot-Side Nightstand™ keeps your personal belongings organized and at your fingertips.
  • The patented Cot Tree has five hooks for hanging gear. Hang your light or wet clothes over top bar. Poles adjust in height from 46" to 66" for various tent wall heights. Center pole is adjustable for width. Poles compact for storage.
  • The Cabela's Deluxe Large Cot Pad is padded with 3"-thick open-cell foam, to make camping comfortable. Built-in attachment/roll-up straps with quick-release buckles keep pad properly positioned on cot and ensure compact transport and storage.

    I've owned several cots for hunting camp and summer camping over the years, but this one is the sturdiest I've ever owned. I really like the hanger poles that come with this cot -- great place to hang your coat -- rather than just putting it on the floor. I also hand clothes on it as well. The side pocket attachment was great for my binoculars, rangefinder, knife, flashlight, TP, etc. Really helps keep things organized inside the tent. The mattress has to be the best part of all of the four piece combo. It was comfortable and I've slept on it for up to 7-days at at time while hunting. I weigh in at 175 lbs for comparison. I would highly recommend this sleep system for anyone who likes comfort and being organized.

    One Great Cot

    I purchased this cot for scout camp. I've tried other cots, air mattresses, and self inflating pads but could never get a good night's sleep. I'm 6'3 and 250# and the other cots were simply too small. I purchased the XL and slept very comfortably for 6 nights. I found the cot to be very easy to set-up, although it is quite heavy. The pad made it feel just like my own bed. Thanks Cabela's I'm now one happy camper and the envy of my scouter friends. BTW two of them said that they will be ordering one as soon as they get home.

    Alaskan Guide cot combo

    I do a lot of camping,as I am a re-enactor, some primitive, some not, and I've slept on everything from the ground to a queen-sized airbed with an elevated frame. That being said, this cot is the MOST comfortable nights sleep In the great out doors I've ever had.
    The cot is so easy to set up and the foam pad is amazingly comfortable. I had read the reviews about the last bar being difficult to place, and found if you "walk" the fabric down toward the end of the cot, it's a snap to put the last bar on. The cot is quiet and sturdy. I am a bit above average sized for a woman, although not overly large and the dimensions are great.
    The cot pad stays put nicely, but could be longer to fit the length of the cot. It's verrry comfortable, almost nicer than my old mattress at home! A carry bag would be nice.
    I was nervous about the cot-trees after reading the various reviews. I purchased a second one for the foot of my cot as I wanted to be able to pin fleece up to help with the cold. There weren't any instructions on how to attach them to the cot, which was disappointing, but I figured out to use an s- type wrap which was fairly sturdy. I did go out and buy additional velcro to brace the bottom of each tree to the cot legs and had no difficulty hanging two fleece throws from end to end as well as hanging my very heavy re-enactment attire from the cross bar. I think Cabela's should include a carry bag with these, however.
    The "night-stand" is fabulous fun. I noticed one reviewer had suggested if buying this separately, to make sure to get the XL one as the regular one was too short (like the cot pad). Mine came with the XL nightstand and I love it! It has an unusual array of pockets and stash areas.
    Over all, this was a fabulous purchase and one I wish I had made much sooner!

    Purchased this after using the Outfitter XL, it was too big for my needs. This cot has all the strength, and comfort of its larger cousin. Frame does not move, feet are padded and large enough to not tear the tent floor. Easy setup, tree handles gear well and night stand has more pockets than you will have gear to put in them. Only thing to improve is the pad should be sized closer to the cot area in length and width like its larger cousin is. Unless you really need the larger size this is just about perfect.
