Bullet Proof (for ice)
Date:
What can I say that hasnt already been said. This is it. There is nothing else out there like it...yet. I live in Phoenix, and go out camping or boating regularly. Temperatures in the 100's frequently. And BAR NONE this is the cooler for me. I have the 120q. cooler. All my friends bring their "other" coolers and after 2-4 days they end up dipping into my ice supplies that are still quite fresh in my Yeti cooler. For a 10 day stretch in our summer heat I pre-cool the cooler with ice the night before, freeze what food can be frozen (hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, etc), then pack everything else and fill the rest of the space with ice. Once outside make sure it stays in the shade. Come home with ice still in the chest if your friends havent taken all of it yet. You get what you pay for. End of story.

Nothing like a Yeti
Date:
In September 2010 I went on an early season Elk hunt in Montana's Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. I was fortunate enough to kill a nice 6 point bull. We hauled the elk out on horses and dropped it off for processing in Big Timber. I needed a good cooler so I called Cabelas in Billings. They recommended a Yeti 120 quart cooler and they had one in stock. I drove to Billings, bought the cooler, and picked up my elk meat several days later. The meat was cut, wrapped, and frozen when I packed it into the Yeti cooler. We spent several days in Montana visiting with our old friends and neighbors. We then dropped down to Yellowstone for a day before driving back to Wisconsin. By the time we got home it was four full days after I had packed the meat in the Yeti. All this time the cooler was in the back of my truck where the temperature was in the 70's during the day and 30's at night. Of course I checked the meat daily but even after 4 days it was still frozen solid. I've done similar things with other coolers but always needed dry ice and still had partially frozen meat by the time I got home. Bottom line - there is nothing like a Yeti. Elk meat is too hard to come by to trust anything but a Yeti cooler.

Great Cooler
Date:
Was on a very warm hunting trip in Montana for two weeks this past fall. The Yeti 120 cooler was unbelievable! The frozen bottles of water we brought with us still had ice in them at the end of the trip.

Best EVER
Date:
The Cabela salesman was so highly recommending this cooler, I thought he was really giving us a sales pitch...but they've never done that, always right on the money! And so it was with our Yeti. We left MN, packed some frozen meat w a smidgeon of dry ice, in our Yeti 65, and thru a coat in to fill the rest of the space. 6 (yes six) days later we arrived back in AL...with totally solid frozen meat. WOW. I've owned 20+ coolers trying to get this results. Yeti is supreme!!!
Well worth it!!! - We'll never lose a dime of meat again.
