I'm tested this item in geological expedition on the White see (NW Russia). Time tested - two week in august (Temp~ +5-+15 by Celsius).
Positive: Big capacity, functional water tap
Negative: Slim plastic in down- attention on the rock and forest, handle - uncomfortable for pouring.
I'm usage my rope and connecting handling and metal round. Second rope (connecting two trees ) pass through primary hinge. Recommended make a bag for this item.
This is very easy to fold down and store when not in use and I also suggest you keep the nozle open when in storage to allow air to circulate in it. I have had no problems with leaks or the nozzle and had this carrier "flopped" around when full in a moving vehicle without breaking. Whle I do prefer using a hard sided water cooler, this one is nice and easy to store when not in use.
The Five-Gallon Fold-A-Carrier is the most convenient water container we have found. Unlike most carriers it is not rigid and therefore you can fold it up when not in use. We have purchased a new one to replace our decade old Fold-A-Carrier, only because the old one is starting to discolor as many old clear plastic containers will. Otherwise our old one is still in great shape and works fine.
The spout is great for a straight pour useful in a camp kitchen, and the handle makes "lugging" the water one handed simple and easy.
