Sad-Very Disappointed
Date:
I ordered this cooler last summer and it was on backorder for a month or two and did not receive it until Oct. as pool season was over. The cooler was left in the undamaged shipping box until yesterday. It was assembled, but I found dents in the cooler and shelf. The gasket that goes around the lip of the lid had come ungluded. At this point I do not know how well it will keep drinks cold, but I suspect not very well. I haven't been able to find the receipt, so I am stuck with no recourse. Save your money and find a better one!

Not to Par
Date:
I bought this at the full price OUCH. On sale today for -$80.
I had all the problems in other posts and fixed them plus.
Weather stripping came off I re-glued. This is a cosmetic part to cover the bare SS edge under the lid not for sealing.
Hardware rusted-replaced with metric SS fasteners that I had to buy and cut to length. (14 screws).
Drain cap broke tether in 2 weeks. Doesn't leak though.
Now the foam in the lid is expanding and causing the lid to seperate from the inner liner and the lid sits up on one end about 1/4 inch. Affects the air sealing
Although it doesn't keep ice like other coolers I have had. I love the looks and functionality of the cooler and will continue to try to fix it .
I also had to send back the first one because of shipping damage. No special box was used. Cabellas was great and shipped the new one before I shipped back the old one. All I needed was the lid and but no parts are available.
Has potential but needs a lot of work.

Awful
Date:
I have to agree with the last 2 posts. I bought this item in February. It is already falling apart. The seal around the lid has become detached. The stainless has unglued from the cooler liner. After talking to Cabelas customer support they have been getting alot of similar complaints about this cooler. It will be going back to the store.

Disgusted buyer
Date:
I used this one time for a retirement party. I have owned it since July 2011. First the painted surfaces began to rust. Next the cover door seal started coming loose and the final straw was the stainless shell, where glued to the plastic inner liner failed and is now unattached all around the top.
The unit has been on my covered deck and not submitted to any harsh weather.
I will be requesting reimbursement. Buyer beware! I feel this is far from being a typical Cabela's quality product offering.
