Cabela's Outfitter Grizzly Cooler - 432-Qt.

  • Keeps ice for over a week
  • Tons of capacity for long-term adventures
  • Tough polyethylene construction
  • Polyurethane foam for superior insulating properties
Often find yourself in extremely remote locations for extended periods of time with refrigeration needs? The Grizzly 432-qt. has the ability to keep ice for over a week. Extremely rugged, heavy-duty construction, this cooler is the ultimate accessory to your long-term adventures. In fact, our field testers recently took the 432-qt. model on a mountain elk hunt and were able to efficiently store and cool the quarters of three elk for a week. For a lifetime of ultrainsulating service in untamed environments, the housing is crafted from tough polyethylene with UV blockers and is filled with polyurethane foam. The lid swings open on one continuous stainless steel hinge that will not wear out or break. And inside the lid is a removable cutting board for completing all your in-camp butchering duties. Sturdy stainless steel lockable latches form a seal that is completely impermeable to weather and rodents. When your trip is over and it's time to clean the cooler out, drainage is made fast and easy by the molded-in steel drain faucet. Single divider keeps contents separate and organized. Molded-in carry handles for convenient toting.

Save your money.

Cooler was a huge let down, did not keep ice as claimed, poor construction quality, metal parts rust and corrode immediately. Lid would not close properly, poor fit and finish all the way around, cooler actually warp and buckled after a month. Ended up finally being able to return it and opted for a similar cooler from another manufacturer instead and was very happy with it. Highly suggest you be wary of this companies claims and products. If I could give it a zero, I would.

Best Non-Electric Refrigerator Made
Date:
I received the Grizzly as a gift several years ago and it has turned out to be one of the best gifts I have ever received. The size does make it a little difficult to handle, but I load it on my truck unassisted when empty. I can attest that the cooler keeps things cold for up to seven days in the 100 degree Texas heat. We have put a whole Aoudad carcus, four whole whitetail carcuses and 100 pounds of ice in the chest at one time. The locking, hasps make sure things don't disappear. I also use it to haul luggage when we go on vacation to the mountains. If you love to hunt, this cooler is the best.

This is thc cooler to get if you're doing a serious road trip and you want to be sure you get your animals home. Drove to MO and back to CT(2.5 days# with several whitetails#frozen) with 30lbs of dry ice. Everthing was frozen solid and the ice lasted another 5 days. This thing works and is high quality. You only need one.

Great product- Not for long exposure to freezing
Date:
I bought my Grizzly in May and have used it on several occasions. I have even used it to store the contents of a 21 cu ft deep freezer for a week and everything was still frozen. Just one thing, storage, it's large and takes up a lot of space but you'll need to find a way to store it above freezing.
I was looking through my equipment and noticed that the hinged had bent out in the cold. It still opens, but is not as smooth or easily as it did before.
