Draining and filtering hot oil is easy with the spigot mounted on the heavy-duty aluminum pot in this complete turkey-frying kit. After letting the oil cool, just strain out what you can, open the spigot and filter the oil back into the storage container. You get more use out of your oil, thus saving you money in the long run. The kit includes a 26-qt. pot, 12" heavy-duty cooker, turkey rack with lifting hook, deep fry thermometer, UL-listed LP hose and regulator with Type I connection. Due to a new CSA regulation, all turkey fryers built after July 2007 will be equipped with a safety shut-off timer. The timer will shut off the gas supply after a preset time period unless the user manually resets it.

Its a turkey fryer alright

Dont plan on getting much use from this for fish frys. It takes a ton of oil, is a bearcat to get a good hot flame. The pot will turn black if you cant get the right flame. takes some time to get all of that oil warmed up. The drain function works nicely if there isnt tom much gunk in the oil. O and there is no hooks to hang the pots on to let the grease drip off. Turkey fryer strictly.

The only thing that isnt good with this product is that there is a timer that will shut off gas in 15 mins unless reset. this isnt even long enough to boil a water never mine cook a turkey. IF you are entertaining a good about of people and your busy this really becomes a pain in in the butt if you forget to reset the gas shut off timer.THIS PRODUCT should have A TIMER that the person doing the cooking could set at thier dersire time that they would like the gas to shut off instead of a peset time.This would make this product a 100 times better!!

We are currently using the fryer for hot water for coffee, tea, soups etc. It works GREAT, but I had to install a vinyl washer on the spigot to stop a small leak.

I haved used this for turkey and pork loin. The taste was beyond awesome. Just wish I would have gotten the basket w/it. I ended up ordering it from the company. The only reason is I couln't find it through Cabelas. I definitely will pass the word along!
