The Tyrnos reels have all the features you need for heavy-duty saltwater fishing and will take on anything from kingfish to tuna and marlin. The solid one-piece construction, die-cast aluminum frame and lever-drag system perform under extreme pressure. Plus, you get your choice of the original Tyrnos reel with a 5.0:1 gear ratio or the two-speed Tyrnos, which changes from high-speed 5.0:1 to powerful 2.5:1 or 2.0:1 (depending on model) by simply flipping a switch. Either way, all Tyrnos reels are built with oversized gears and oversized handle shanks to bring in those oversized fish you’re looking for. Four stainless steel A-RB® ball bearings are 10 times more resistant to corrosion than regular stainless steel. The ratcheting drag lever eliminates the chance of the lever moving due to boat vibration. A twin pawl anti-reverse system delivers hooksetting power. The 20 and 30 models have a reduced-profile top crossbar.
