Okuma Convector Saltwater Reel
An oversized gear box with 50% more drag surface coupled with a self-lubricating gear
system makes the Convector series some of the smoothest operating reels in Okuma's world-famous
line. The Speed Loc Gearing System incorporates a dual-step pinion gear system on star drag reels
for positive engagement at high speeds, making these reels a great choice for hard-charging fish like
wahoo, dorado, sailfish and makos. This system also allows for instant gear engagement and hooksets
from free spool. The ergonomic forged aluminum handle has unique oversized handle knob for comfort
and easy handling when fighting a fish. All models also include a rugged lightweight, corrosionproof
graphite body, a machined-aluminum spool and a graphite rod clamp. L models are levelwinds.
