Conservation Partners

Cabela's is dedicated to preserving your way of life not because it is our business, but it is our way of life as well. Like Cabela's, these organizations are dedicated to conserving the fish, game and wild places that are our heritage. From the bugle of a Rocky Mountain elk to a splashing trout, Cabela's is proud to be associated with these fine conservation organizations.

National Rifle Association Union veterans Col. William C. Church and Gen. George Wingate formed the National Rifle Association in 1871. The primary goal of the association was to "promote and encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis." While widely recognized today as a major political force and as America's foremost defender of Second Amendment rights, the NRA has, since its inception, been America's premier firearms education organization.

NRA is also the largest pro-hunting organization in the world. Through direct lobbying, hunter recruitment programs and grant funding for conservation projects, there is no single group doing more to defend our freedom to hunt than NRA. Committed to teaching young people the safe, responsible use of firearms since its beginning, NRA continues to expand that training through the Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC). YHEC is an advanced hunter education program that allows youngsters to build on the skills they learned in state- or provincial-level hunter safety courses. YHEC now trains more than 50,000 young hunters every year--and NRA deeply appreciates the foresight of Cabela's to include YHEC in the Add a Buck Program. By adding just one dollar, or multiples of whole dollars, to your Cabela's checkout total, you can help NRA continue to develop competent, ethical hunters and maintain America's passion for hunting.

TBF The Bass Federation
Mission: "Owned by those we serve, dedicated to the sport of fishing."

Since 1968, the independent state bass Federations have worked together to support the grassroots growth of fishing and the growth of the entire sport fishing/outdoors industry in their states. Simply put, The Bass Federation, Inc. (TBF) and our affiliated state Federation's do not work for any one organization in particular, although we do have several long-term relationships and partnerships in the industry. TBF is proudly partnered in fishing with FLW Outdoors. www.flwoutdoors.com

The main focus of the TBF Federation is to work for:
  • Our members
  • The member State Federations
  • The industry as a whole
  • Youth, by establishing activities for them that foster their learning and skill levels pertaining to the sport of fishing.
  • Conservation, by joining together to demand clean waters, to protect anglers rights and by making additional funds available to the member states through our partners, sponsors and other avenues to assist with conservation projects.
  • Fishing, by providing a means for our members to compete in the majority of the most prestigious tournaments in the world.
  • While our name contains the word "bass" and would imply we are bass fishermen only. That is not the case. "Our mission is to support fishing and support the industry. We are “about fishing."

TWF The Walleye Federation is an organization modeled after the successful grassroots style of the oldest and largest organized bass fishing group in America, The Bass Federation (TBF), and shares their foundation in three core values, Youth, Conservation and Fishing.

We chose this proven model to support walleye fishing in America and to provide walleye anglers and the industry the same support, sponsor benefits, and unity for youth, conservation and fishing that has been afforded to bass anglers for 40 years. The Walleye Federation (TWF) has significant industry support and will operate as a federation under the TBF umbrella as it grows and receives FULL member benefits!
