This is a fantastic climber as far as portability, packability. It sets up and climbs quietly. However if you are not athletic and have poor abdominal strength this is not the stand for you,get the sit and climb. The negitives are you have to spend more money for the longer cables as the supplied cables will limit your tree sizes. The seat is actually fairly comfortable for its compactness, but is noisy against my pants. Wool and saddle cloth both make unacceptable noise if you slide on the seat. I had to replace the seat with a medium seat from an other well known tree stand company which is quiet and a tad bit more comfortable. The noise is the issue however not the comfort. The bow holder is useless and would take up too much room on this compact stand. I use a bow holder attached to the seat platform which places the bow off to the side by my bow hand. Hopefully Lone Wolf will stop playing cheap and include the longer cables, and address the seat noise.
Hard to climb up. Even harder climbing down. The build in bow holder is useless, you barely have room to to stand. I purchased the climbing seat strap which is sold seprate. Did aid with the climbing process. Buy a summit .
The only thing good about this tree stand is that its light weight. its easy to carry through the woods. i walk pretty deep into the woods with this no problem. it seems durable easy and fast to pack an unpack. BUT its is very hard to climb with, and im very athletic. 6'0 175. and once you get up there, there is hardly any room to stand. this is deffinitally a sit and shoot tree stand. make sure you wear a harness because there is very little room for error on this. watch your step. i love my cheap feild and stream tree stand, its like being in a recliner compared to this, but its heavy to carry far into the wood. its a tuff trade off i guess. maybe comfort in the tree is more important. especially for those long sits.
