Great kit for your range bag

I have now bought six of these little kits, one each to use for .45, 9mm and ,22 caliber and one for each of my three grown children. I make up caliber-specific kits and buy high quality brass jags and patches for them. Then I put together a ziploc bag with the kit, a few clean rags, q-tips, a child's toothbrush, patches and small containers of CLP and Remoil. The plastic bag stores neatly in an outside pocket of the range bag, and allows you to clean your pistol(s) before you leave the range. To avoid issues with the screw caps, apply some silicone spray lubricant. An excellent product!

Would Prefer Same Kit in a Larger Size

This tool is a great design, but a little too flimsy for me. This size is ok for most semi-auto pistols. However, I shoot mainly magnum revolvers. If this compact kit were manufactured just one inch longer, the rod would be 2 inches longer. Also, the rods should be larger diameter with tougher threads. What is needed is a large or magnum sized kit with this general design. It would be just as portable, but more rugged and thus more useful. In short, this is a fine kit for light pistol cleaning needs in the field. But please bring on its BIG BROTHER !
