The Clay Hawk throws targets as singles and nested pairs of stacked doubles. The triangular base is ultra-stable and sits high enough off the ground that you can operate the trap from a chair. Three pivot mounts allow you to throw targets in all directions, and it includes ground spikes for stability.
Do-All Full-Cock Clay Hawk Trap does the job Ok but does need a little help. If you purchase this thrower make sure you use lock tight on all the nuts to make sure it stays together. It has a tendency to loosen up during use. Another concern is that it sometimes brakes the clays. When you fine tune the adjusting tension you can get rid of most of the problem. Take your time and you will have allot of fun with this thrower. Try mounting it onto a heavy piece of plywood to make it secure . We have been using it for a while and it is working fine /
Thrower arm broke loose from the pivot pin very soon after I started using it. Was weak welding, I had it rewelded and now it is working. Buy a better model.
2nd one, this one was a gift. get a piece of plywood sanded one side, double it up for some weight, counter sink the holes.and mount it to it and toss the hold down pins they pull out while your using it.
For the price, this thrower does a fair job. However, the stakes included with the unit do not anchor it firmly enough into the ground. By the 5th throw, the front of the unit has pulled out the stakes anchoring it to the ground, and the throws become troublesome. Best bet is to get some larger stakes, or weld a few bolts to an old tire rim, and secure the thrower to it.
