i tried this in the local merrimack river in MA. caught nothing on it. thought i would take a chance but nothing works better than oatmeal balls, nothing.

I tried the vanilla and strawberry flavor. I was fishing in shallow water and saw several carp investigate the bait, but none ate it. Corn and my homemade doughballs work much better.

Date:
Went fishing at a local pond full of carp; have caught them there before. Tried the honey version of this bait. I watched five different carp locate this bait, hover over it and move on. None took it. Effective? You evaluate the facts.

Picky carp, or ineffective bait?
Date:
Fished in a lake full of big carp who were devouring corn and bread that I put out for them, but they would not touch this bait on the hook! Caught them on corn and bread, but not on the magic carp bait.
