Each blank is precision-crafted of a proprietary blend of IM6, IM7 and IM8 graphite for the ideal balance of line-zipping fast action and lightweight strength. The exposed-blank reel seat is constructed of high-grade machined aluminum with a bronze finish. The threaded barrel section encloses the butt end of the blank to eliminate the extra weight of a middle insert and to ensure a secure bond with the blank. An up-locking Delrin® ring ensures the locking nut snugs the reel securely in place. It flawlessly transfers energy between the backcast and forward cast, accurately propelling line to your target. Corrosion-resistant nickel-titanium-alloy REC Recoil stripper guides are 50% lighter than traditional guides and always return to their original shape. The remaining double-foot snake guides and tip top are constructed of titanium carbide. 25-year limited warranty.
