these spoons definitely catch deep largemouth, big ones too. however, it is widely known that the paint peels off when it comes in contact with <surprise> water. I must be mistaken but I thought there were numerous reviews here previously.
regardless, the action is terrifc - let if fall on a semi-slack line for the death-throes shad look.
I've had success spraying a lacquer / varnish on the new spoons to keep the paint from peeling of when it comes into contact with <forbid> water.

I have used this spoon succcessfully several times for bass suspended 20 to 30 feet deep. The technique works well in early spring and late fall. The finish on the spoon is easily scraped off on rocks and submerged cover but doesn't seem to affect the performance.
