    I bought the gold Little wolf and on my fist cast in Canada I caught 27 inch walleye. I use mostly Mepps spoons on the trip and our boat had over 200 Pike and Walleye.

    1/8 oz little wolf

    Used the 1/8 oz little wolf in hot fire tiger on Columbus day weekend in low light conditions during pre-dawn. This lure and color combination performed perfectly under these conditions. It is a great slow to moderate retrieve spoon that doesn't sink too fast (excellent in shallow water). You never know what you will catch. First fish was a 14-inch rainbow, then a 10-inch bluegill, then a 2-lb largemouth. Numerous other rainbows (12-15 inches) and bass were caught before dawn. The only issue I had was the original size 10 treble hooks were a little small for anything over 12 inches and many fish were lost before landing; a quick change to size 8's solved the problem.

    I actually ordered a bunch of spin flys and threw these in as they were in the bargain cave. No fish yet, but they act like you'd expect any spoon to. To be fair they got a quick try in late november, wrong water, cold front, etc...just wanted to it on the line - worked fine, seems very flashy, not much for treble hooks, but hopefully it won't get too snagged. (don't you wonder why no one makes a tiny version of the old johnson silver minnow?) anyway - Mepps is the gold standard for us. Spin fly's - up to a 7 pound largmouth. Comet minnows in all sizes - all species - tiny bream to giant stripers - we've got them all on Mepps. WAY over any other brand of crankbait, jig, spinnerbait, etc....I have 3 huge tackles boxes, stuffed....and the mepps produce so much better, every time out.

    Used the 2/5oz silver-pink one for fishing pikes and had a great fishing day; it works wonders in terms of number of attacks and catch percentage. Great action even in very weedy waters where it can be kept easily in no more than 3-4 inches of water above the green mess.
