Shimano® Tallus Casting Rods

You now have a  ally in the pursuit of saltwater game fish: the lightweight, powerful Tallus rod. Each has precision tapers to meet the needs of anglers in specific regions. Extra-tough graphite composite blank construction subdues the hardest-running fish. The Tallus series sports some of the highest-grade components available, including Fuji® Hardloy® guides and Fuji® gimbals with removable caps for leverage on select models. The rods have slip-resistant EVA or Stuart Tuff Butt® rear grips for ease into and out of a rod holder. Limited lifetime warranty.

tarpon give it two fins down
Date:
this rod is my one of my favorite rods for the price. iusually use g loomis and lamiglas rods and although this rod wasn't as expensive it perfored pretty well. i matched this up with a shimano calcutta 700b as a tarpon rod. it permormed beutifully i landed 4/ 6 tarpon i hooked in one morning and all were 100+ pounds and one that was 200+ pounds. i will soon be buying another one of these rods in a spinning model also for tarpon when i leave behind my more expensive rods. i would definitly recomend this product.

Talora Rods
Date:
I've only used these rods for one season, but I'm impressed so far. I bought two brand-name rods at the same time - the other shall remain nameless, but I've had problems with them. The Talora rods however have held up really well and have a nice parabolic curve and great action. I use these rods for downrigger fishing for Chinook Salmon (Kings) - they are the best I've used so far, at a good price. I took a total of 26 large Chinooks Salmon this year, plus numerous other big fish, and the rods performed well on them all.
