If you're looking for one of the most advanced fishing rods on the market today, here it is. Carrot Stix "stress-free"
design allows stress to be evenly distributed throughout the blank. This minimizes the chance of failure while utilizing
all of the power potential provided by the introduction of Nano Cellulose Bio-Fiber into the blank material. The result is
exceptional fish-fighting power. Velvet Touch split grips provide the sensitivity needed to detect the lightest of bites,
and the rods weight port is easily accessed so you can customize its balance. A Maximum Exposure split reel seat
cradles your reel securely. New double-swaged, hard-chrome inserted Pac Bay Lite guides let line slip through with
minimal friction. Factor in all of these high-tech features and you have one of the lightest, best performing rods
available.
One-piece rods.
great rod no complaints.as for other reviews i have read that people cant get e-mail or telephone response. if they will pay attention to what carrot styx tells them to do for warranty service they will get a replacement rod. follow their INSTRUCTIONS!
Recieved the rod for my birthday and put a Shimano Curado on it. This rod is in a whole new class. The rod has handled the very best the Louisiana Marsh can throw at it. I turned around and bought the 7'3" Heavy rod and got to use it for the first time today. I was trolling in a duckpond and it happened to be filed with feeding redfish. I broke off a good fish in front of the boat and instead of re rigging the MH rod, I grabbed the heavy and continued. About 2-3 casts later, I hooked a 25" red and it was on. The fish reminded me that I needed to adjust the drag and as soon as I had it dialed in, it handled the fish with no issues. About 15 minutes later, I boated the 5th fish and I was done for the day.
I do not know how durable these rods are but they are up to the fight that redfish throw at them. I have been a Cabelas and Shakespeare owner and have been happy with it but now I am sold on this product.
I owed a 6' 9" gold series MH. Set the hook on a small bass and it snapped right at the base. Then against my better judgement I bought a 7' 6" H. This weekend this rod snapped on another fish. I would never buy another Element21 rod again. Get a Shimano instead
I bought my first Carrot Stix 2 years ago. I bought a 7'3" Medium Heavy. I usually use it for pitching jigs and for fishing soft plastics. I love this rod. It is great for accurate pitches and casts great. This rod has plenty of strength. I have caught numerous bass on this rod over 4-5 lbs and have had no trouble out of it. I use a Abu Garcia Revo S on it and i have just purchased a Revo Winch to put on it to jig fish with. I also just purchased my second Carrot Stix. This time a got a 7'0" Medium Heavy to try and catch smallmouth. I like to have a little bit lighter equipment to catch bronzebacks with. Bottomline: Great rod overall.
