I have only had this rod 3 weeks and I talked myself into getting this rod despite all the stuff i herd about the 1st models breaking alot. I figured by now they would have the issues resolved but i guess not. The rod does feel and look great and is reasonable priced, but on my first hookset with a 7ft3in medium heavy with 12 lb PLine 1/4 oz shakey head worm and it broke right in the middle. I wanted the new St Croix Rage but this was 30 bucks cheaper.
I took it back for and got the Rage and i will pay more attention to my gut feeling i guess.
