Cabela's Tourney Trail® Casting Rods

  • IM7 construction
  • Graphite reel seat
  • Aluminum-oxide guides
  • High-quality cork handles
  • New steel-blue blank color
  • One of our best selling rod series
Our Tourney Trail® rod series is one of Cabela's best sellers. We've completely redesigned it to give customers a more sensitive-feeling rod for their money. We introduced small, yet strong, aluminum-oxide guides that are perfectly sized and wrapped to the new steel-blue blanks in a seamless bond. Heavy-duty graphite reel seats with cushioned hoods secure your reel. Screw-down locking fore grips were added to eliminate exposed threads when the reel is snugged. We also added higher-quality cork handles to make casting for fish more comfortable. All Tourney Trail rods are built around IM7 100% graphite blanks that have fast tip-sensitive actions. Limited two-year warranty.

I just received it today
Date:
Just received the rod today, unfortunately I'll have to wait to use it as I live in Mass. Allready put my Abu Garcia C-4 on it, and it'll be my spinnerbat rod. Loofs great Thank You.

Great rod for low price!
Date:
Recently went to the Hamburg, PA Cabela's and bought the Tourney Trail Casting Rod. I got the 7 foot Medium Heavy rod. 2 piece. I must say that this rod is phenomenal for such a low price point. I bought a Quantum Kinetic to go with it and the combo is balanced perfectly! You have to experiment with different reels to see how they feel. The rod also had good sensitivity and a nice soft tip for good strike pickup. My only small complaint is that it is a tail heavy without the reel but with the right reel it balances out. A definite buy for any bass angler largemouth or smallmouth!

Tourney Trail

These are some awesome rods. I currently own 4 of them and continuously use all of them. I have a 6 foot medium 2 piece which i use for spinnerbaits and crankbaits, another 6 foot medium but one piece for skipping docks, a 7 foot med-heavy casting rod for flipping heavy cover, and finally a 7 foot med-light two piece for light lures and jigs. I have never had a problem with any of them. They are durable and super reliable. Good backbone, sensitive, pretty light. The 6 foot medium one piece easily reeled in a 24 inch walleye in 20 feet of water. I never once worried about it breaking. I always pick these up at my local cabela's after seeing these rods in the Bargain Cave. Cabelas price match their website so I always get a great deal! I'm working on getting at least 2 more of these bad boys.

Still a favorite - one minor slip up!
Date:
I have seven of the TT rods in spinning & casting designs, various weights and lengths. The TT's are a significant upgrade from the ProGuide in balance, IM7 sensitivity and handle comfort. Easily equal (or better) than the BPS 'Bionic Blade' series and a better value. I have had only one problem, which seems to be a manufacturing glitch in an early product run this summer (noted in several recent reviews) with a broken tip on a 7' Medium casting rod right out of the mailing tube. Cabela's CS replaced the rod IMMEDIATELY w/i five days - I have never had a CustSat issue with Cabela's in 12 years and hundreds of on-line purchases.
