Unbelievable Sensitivity - Lots of Back Bone

I have the 7' MH Fast casting rod. It was my first "expensive" rod that I purchased. I mainly fish plastics/jigs and could not believe how much I could feel with the veritas rod. With previous cheap rods I would always second guess if I had a bite, and i would wind up swatting at grass, setting my hook in sticks/logs, and undoubtably miss fish that I could not feel.
Once I realized how the sensitivity of the rod directly translates to me catching more fish, I started purchasing more expensive rods. I've purchased a few rods in the $150-$200 range only to be let down because they are not as sensitive as my veritas.
My more expensive rods have better actions and fit/finish than my veritas. The epoxy on the guides and hook keeper on the veritas are quite sloppy. However, chances are when you see me flipping jigs or fishing a t-rigged plastic, I have a pearl white rod in my hands. The sensitivity of the veritas makes it my go-to rod. I will give up a little tip action, fit/finish, and durability if I can feel every thing my lure contacts.
I think sensitivity and durability go hand in hand. High end rods are more brittle than cheaper low modulus carbon rods. If my veritas breaks I know Abu will take care of me and replace it hassle free. The same can't be said for some other companies with sensitive, brittle, orange rods.

Love the Abu Garcia products , but my rod broke! Only been used once. I even bought a revo reel to go with it. I haven't had this trouble with their products before :(

Veritas rods, they're great

I got rid of all my G-Loomis rods & replaced them with the Veritas rods. The Veritas are lighter, stronger & more sensitive. Feal & Catch more fish with Abu-Garcia Veritas rods
