Had my Quantum Smoke for about a year. It's good quality and appearance. Will handle any bass, pike ect fishing you choose to do.

Difficult for a beginner to bait casting reels to handle. Adjusting from heavy to light lure for long casts will birds nest bad if proper setup, adjustments and technique are not applied.

I've casted mine 10,000 times and have a decent handle on it but during a long day find I'll forget something in the adjustment while switching lures and it's big mess time.

quality written all over it

This was my second quatem reel and i really like it i fish allot of smallies and it has enough power to pull in 6 pounders. very light and the handles are very comfortable.

Very nice reel. Light weight and smooth. I use it for stream smallmouth. It casts an eighth ounce rooster tail with no problem at all. This is my first quantum. I've always used abu garcias and still love them, but I'm very impressed with this reel. I am amazed at how much more I can do with this reel without backlashes than other reels I own. I can go from eighth ounce to half ounce baits and not even have to adjust the brake. My wife just learned to use baitcasters and used it all day without a single backlash. I highly recommend this reel, it's also much cheaper than other lightweight reels, so it's also great deal.
