If you like flippin' presentations, you'll love this reel. Its specialized Flippin' Switch gives you complete control for flippin' with precision, and the sleek Accurist lives up to its name by helping you put lures in front of fish – even in tight cover. Super-smooth performance is beefed up by five PT hybrid polymer-stainless bearings and includes a zero-play Continuous Anti-Reverse™ for plant-your-feet hooksets. The one-piece forged-aluminum frame and side cover deliver a strongly built, corrosion-resistant, fish-subduing tool without added bulk and weight. AC100s are right-handed models and the AC101s are for left-handed anglers. HPTs are geared for high-speed retrieves and the SPTs bring in line at a slower rate.

Decent reel

I bought this reel about 3 years ago. It was a very nice reel for a while. But now that I have used it for a few years it is starting to have some flaws. Sometimes when I cast it makes a really loud grinding noise and just stops in mid air and sometimes when im reeling it will make a grinding clicking sound and will start to crank backwards a few cranks.

great reel

I have a earlier burner model mounted on a 7'10" swimbait rod. I was pulling in stripers with it off the surf in Ipswich MA. This reel is very strong and always turns heads when im pulling in linesiders with it . I almost always use it in saltwater.

I am an Abu-Garcia man. I bought this for the flippin' switch, but I am impressed. First time out with it caught 5 bass, one was almost 4lbs. It was wrapped up in the weeds and the reel handled it with no problems.

Quantum Accurist reels rock.! I purchased one a long time ago and have bought many of them .They never let me down and I have caught a lot of fish with them! I was sad when they discontinued them but they finally brought them back.Purchased the new model right away (love it ). I may have to upgrade the older models now . Only downside is they are not as popular on the west coast so it is hard to find dealers with models to see them firsthand before purchasing. But if you want a kickin reel get an accurist !!!!
