Weighing just 5.5-oz., the Steez reel is the lightest-weight baitcaster of its kind. Everything in its design, from its 11 precision ball bearings plus roller bearing to the free-floating aluminum-alloy spool, is dedicated to the most efficient performance at the lightest possible weight. Magforce®-V automatic magnetic spool brake controls backlashes and is fully adjustable to match any skill level. The Daiwa-exclusive swept handle ensures less wobble, better feel and maximum winding leverage. Locking, bayonet-mount sideplate allows fast spool access. Eight-disc wet drag with precision click adjustment. Infinite anti-reverse. Magnesium frame and handle-side sideplate. Tough, tempered aluminum drive gear and phosphor bronze pinion. Max drag 8.8 lbs.

After throwing bass lures for over 50 years, I decided to own a really, and I mean REALLY, good reel. So glad I chose this one.
I finally had the nerve to let it work without feathering on a windy day and got perfect results throwing my light X Rap. Also, it cranked in flawlessly under the pressure of its first lunker largemouth. I did manage to create a little snarl on a terrible and
uncoordinated cast. It feels, looks and performs up to the highest
level.

If your a serious Bass angler it dont get any better then these reels. Daiwa always seems to focus more on Bass then Shimano does and with Daiwas new flagship offering we have been spoiled. Never before has a reel like this hit the US market. Dont even think about anything else. Get a Steez and a Steez rod and your set. My shimanos dont even compare to this reel what-so-ever.

Very nice reel

Great reel. Very smooth and casts very far. The drag is too weak, though. I would not use this reel for any fish larger than largemouth bass.
