The Megaforce baitcast reel features Daiwa's unique Twitchin' Bar for picking up slack line with just one hand. It even gives bait a twitching action to make inactive fish strike. Each push of the bar retrieves approximately 6"-7" of line. Constructed of a durable, graphite-composite frame and sideplate. Rugged six-point drivetrain for support.

This reel was great out of the box and did everything that I asked it to do for about three months then the twitchin bar froze down and the only way to get the reel to work again was to break the bar and take the gear out.

Bought the Daiwa Megaforce this spring and can not say enough good things about it , casts and retrieves are easy and trouble free. And the twitchin bar is a really handy add on for those slow retrieves.

like a Daiwa

This reel casts like a Daiwa, the breaks are easily set like a Daiwa, it reels like a Daiwa, and the drag works like a Daiwa. But it sounds like a Zebco! I oiled the heck out of it and it quieted it down quite a bit. It's a good deal for this price.

Daiwa MegaForce® Plus Casting Reel

I bought this reel last year because I needed a reel for a soft plastics setup. This reel casts well and is very smooth. I have had no problems with it at all. I just took it out of the box, spooled it up with 12lb mono and it casts like a dream. I just ordered another one out of the Bargain Cave for 50% off. Great reel for the money!
