Updated with technique-specific gear ratios and a new frame design that’s more lightweight than ever, the Curado G-Series still offers all the tournament-dominating performance that’s made it a favorite worldwide. Its High Efficiency Gearing system eliminates drivetrain flex and features an oversized drive gear and pinion for increased leverage, improved torque and maximum fish-fighting power. The adjustable Variable Braking System controls spool speed with centrifugal force, minimizing backlashes and maximizing casting distance in adverse conditions. Its Super Free® bearing-supported pinion system also reduces friction on the spool shaft for increased freespool, which translates to greater casting distance. Super-Stopper one-way, stainless steel roller bearing eliminates backplay for hard-hitting hooksets. Four shielded stainless steel ball bearings deliver ultrasmooth retrieves at any speed. Super-responsive Quickfire® II clutch bar offers easy one-handed casting. Wear-resistant Dartainium® Drag. One-piece aluminum frame with graphite sideplates for high-strength durability. Ultralightweight anodized-aluminum Magnumlite spool. Metal cast-control knob. Anodized-aluminum handle. Nonslip Septon grips.

Getting one of these has been in the back of my mind for a long time. The 200G7 does everything I want. A nice surprise was being able to cast 1/4 oz lures on 12# line with a mediun rod. Very smooth.

best bait cast reel so far

this reel casts further and has better control than any others I have tried. The 7 to 1 gear ratio gets the bait back to the rod tip sooner and I can keep the bait in the strike zone. Just remember to slow down the crank speed if you need a slow presentation.

my first casting reel in 15 years .wow have they come a long way. this reel is so easy to set up for no backlash .i had 1 overrun and one adjustment and then i was casting like a pro. my first walleye with this reel was 28 in. and the reel handled it perfectly along with my fenwick rod. well worth the money on both items.remember .you get what you pay for .

Great Reel

I used it for peacock bass in florida and for large mouth bass. Once I got used to casting it, after many practice casts in the driveway, I put it to good use. It worked great.
