From trout to tarpon and everything in between, our Salt Striker Inshore Casting Rods offer lengths and actions that are proven to produce from Texas to the Carolinas. 100% high-modulus graphite construction reduces the overall weight of these rods and provides strength, sensitivity and optimum performance. To improve on these rods, we’ve outfitted them with Batson’s new SS316 guides, made from high-grade stainless steel for better corrosion resistance. And we included premium cork grips for improved sensitivity. Actions are tailored for everything from popping corks with bait, finessing plastics and cranking plugs and topwater baits. Plus, there are models with the backbone and strength to land inshore monsters like tarpon, snook and permit. Exposed blank graphite trigger reel seats.

Cabelas Saltstalker rod

I bought a 7'9" Saltstalker rod and was very impressed with it. I mostly use the rod for catfish and striper fishing. I first saw the rods on a Cabelas Saltwater show, they were fishing for tarpon. I bought a rod and liked it. The biggest fish I brought in with it so far has been a 65lb bluecat. The rod handled that fish nicely. If your catfishing they make good circle hook rods because of the lighter tip action.

Got this rod just in time for the stripers and blues hooked up to a few striped bass in the 8-10 lbs range not a problem hooked up to a 18 blue fish and the fight was on and this rod handled every bit of it thanks Bryan

I am a picky shopper and take the time to research quality and price. Cabela's wins the the lions share of my internet buying dollars and they never disappointed me with their service and products over the past 15+ years.
Bought the 2 piece 7ft Heavy action Salt Striker on sale. Worth every penny if not on sale. I custom build many of my own fishing rods. I cannot build a rod this good at this price. This rod has a fast action. Strong butt and mid-section with a light tip. That translates into throwing light 1/4 oz. plugs and the ability to pull and fight a big fish after hook up. This rod is light weight enough for a day of casting and compact enough to stow in the trunk of a car or cab of a truck. If a person dose not slam the rod tip in a tailgate or car door , this rod should last a persons life time. 316 stainless frame ceramic guides is good stuff !

Bought the 7'6" two-piece for traveling down to the coast as I don't get to fish saltwater as much as I would like. Nice rod overall...action is good and casts like a dream with my Currado. Also fished with an old Penn Peerless No. 9 and it was just as good. Landed some nice ones and will probably buy another one so I can fish both reels without having to switch them out. Great product...you can't beat the price for a rod of this type.
