Avet MC JX Reel

Awesome reel! I've got 4 of these now; 2 speed JX, 2 speed MX, 1 speed MX and 1 speed JX with slow retrieve (4.6). These are very well made, durable reels. I've replaced my Trinidads with them and have no complaints at all. I really love the MC feature; I fish a number of times a year but not enough that I don't utilize this. Something to remember; be sure to clean them well and lube the threads for the clamp after each trip. The reel is auminum and the bolts are stainless; you do a get a galvanic reaction over time if you don't do this.

I own the SX MC & the EX 30 Wide for some of the bigger critters swimming around here in SoCal. They are both amazing. True powerhouses made by the boys here in the USA. I'll continue to add more of these to my arsenal. Also glad to see Cabelas add them to the lineup.

Little winch

I spooled the SX with about 300 yards of 50# spectra and use it for fishing in the Sea of Cortez. I've caught yellowtail to 30# with this reel mated to a St. Croix Tidemaster (10-20). Its a little winch that casts very smoothly and has a screaming drag, shimano and diawa must hate these things. I'll be buying the JX soon. Made in the USA.
