Many Issues - Changes & Improvements
    Date:
I purchased the 30 gal. tank to use in saltwater. Upon receiving and inspecting the tank, there were some immediate issues. The top of the tank is pop-riveted and every one of the rivets was loose. I removed the rivets and replaced with s/s bolts. The velcro strap that attaches to both handles to secure the lid did not have velcro on one end so I used a small bungee cord. Because water splashed out of the tank around the top, I used silicone and weather stripping all the way around and then bolted the top down. The aerator did not attach to the top so I had to secure it with s/s bolts. The aerator comes with alligator clips so if you want to plug it in to a 12v receptacle you must change to that. I used a pigtail so I could power either way. The aerator is also too powerful for a small tank and really churns the water. The tank does not have handles on both ends to facilitate carrying it. The rubber drain plug is unique so do not lose it. You would think they would include a spare. The hardware package was missing parts. The inside and bottom of the tank is painted blue making it difficult to see the bait when there are only a few left. It was pretty frustrating having to do all of this. The tank appears to be constructed well but obviously not designed properly. I spent about two hours and $20 repairing and modifying the tank. I would have gladly paid an extra $20 to not have to make these repairs.

    bait tank

This thing keeps them alive. I had 3 walley and 10 whites in the 25 gallon tank for most of the day and not a one of them died. I have used it to hold perch for limb lines as well and it works like a charm.

This baitwell was on sale so I bought it for keeping bait alive between the bait shop and the boat. It is not insulated, seems flimsy, and the motor is very noisy. Not a good product. Wish I had my money back.
