AHI Casting Nets

One of the most popular cast nets for targeting a wide variety of live bait. These nets use premium UBE Chip Monofilament netting, 3/8" square mesh, 80-lb. test Braille Line and 3/4-lb. lead weights per foot. A 24-ft. hand line is secured with a heavy-duty anodized swivel. Each net comes with a reusable hard-shell container.
Sizes: 4-ft., 5-ft., 6-ft., 7-ft., 8-ft.

I use this net on a fairly regular basis. not a good beginner net but not for the expert either. just right for intermediate throwers like myself. wish it had a little more weight to sink faster and handle current .

I have a 8 foot ahi cast net this cast net is the best cast net ever it took me a couple of throws to get it down but it caught me too much bait to deal with 50 lbs of herring and smelt in one throw. Over all this cast net is fun and productive.

Difficult to use

The casting net is built well, but it is very difficult to get to open. Several friends including myself have tried following the directions and cannot get the cast net to open as they describe in the directions.
Perhaps if you have had a lot of experience with cast nets this wouldn't be an issue. For a novice, I think most people will have difficulty getting this net to open up.
