I wasn't sure that the long- action size box would fit the ammo for my Mosin Nagant. To my delight it fits perfectly. It holds twenty rounds in stripper clips securely but releases them easily. Allows for a convenient and non-bulky method of carrying 20 rounds for hunting. The cartridge box is well made and looks good as well. I am extremely pleased with Cabela's product , price and fast shipping. I highly recommend this product. Thanks Cabela's.

I ordered this holder for 45-70 cartridges, not knowing how well it would accommodate these huge shells. Well it holds 10 just fine in a staggered insertion, which is just fine with me... 7 in the 1895SBL Marlin and 10 in the holder for back-up is plenty for me. If I need more than 17 of these huge bullets on hand, one of two things is obvious. Either I'm having quite an interesting day, or I need to get to the range! These 45-70 shells fit quite snugly, so there is no rattle at all. The leather is of high quality with excellent stitching, and the snap closure is quite secure. The perfect cartridge holder for my needs!

I ordered one of these for my 30-06(the long Action one) and it is great the bullets rattled in the plastic that came with it so i put the one that came with my bullets in it was a tight fit so there is now no rattle at all. I got another for my brother for christmas they are great gifts with Excellent craftsman ship they will keep your ammo at your side and keep it dry.

i placed a box of 180 grain soft point 30:06 cartriridges in the box and they rattled quite loudly...granted i did not
try putting the box on my gun belt...but...i dont think that would have eliminated the noise the shells made...for the type of deer/bear hunting i do which mixes both stand with still hunting and requires quiet movement to/from and thru the woods... this product will not suffice...i will keep it for storage purposes and range use only..but will not use it for hunting
