Electronic lock crashed

I own two of these to store ammo securely. The first, I've had for over a year and had no problems at all. It's awesome for securing ammo from the kids, so I decided to buy another safe, so I could buy more ammo. Ehhhh.... the new one the electronic lock died in about a month (long enough that I couldnt return it to Cabela's and I threw out the box). I've tried everything -new batteries, resetting it, prayer, smacking it, etc and nope, won't work. So, I guess I'll need to contact the company now and get them to fix it. In the meantime, I just use the key to unlock it and I store the key in the safe that still works, My expereince, 50/50 that you'll get a good one. Good Luck!

A Solid Pruduct

The safe arrived days before it was promised. I had absolutely no problems getting it uncrated and found it to be in perfect condition. I had it, programmed, bolted down, and "loaded up" in short order.. The shelf foam is a little flimsy and the product would benefit from from double-sided tape to help keep it in place -- but I have plenty of that. It was perfect for my small handgun collection and ammo, with plenty of room left over other valuables. And it comes at a good price.

Considering the price this product looks like a winner. Push-button combination is easy to set-up or change, and the quality is great (again, considering the price) - also, there is a key entry. With padded shelving provided, you can store eight large handguns laying on their sides. I'm glad I bought it.

Pretty Much What I Expected

I have the double door 16 gun cabinet from stack on, that is basically just a large locker, not a safe.
This box is heavier built, and the electronic lock is nice and works well, back up keys. Will bolt to wall, comes with hardware.
Only complaint is that the shelves and other items come shipped inside, and it shows. Inside was beat up, one of the clips for fastening shelf to safe was broken. Minor issues, but better packaging would be minimal expense to save them potential returns.
Overall happy with box, and love Cabela's service. Its great to know if I wanted to be picky that they would send me a new one right away.
