Great for general purpose storage

I own at least 10 of these for various calibers. the bottom is narrower than the top. Very durable, the stack well with each other (not with Plano boxes) due to their interlocking feet and top.
If loaded with heavy ammo (500 .45) the the lid will flex and break the seal, not a deal stopper for me.
The locking handle makes a great place to put a label on for easily identifying what I stored inside.

This was ordered to use as storage for boxes of 12 gauge shells, so I measured a few boxes of shells and came up with 4 1/8 wide.
Going by the interior measurements given it should have held 4 boxes. The box tapers down to about 4 inches on the bottom.
Seems like a decent storage box, just don't believe the measurements.

Nice Box But Small

When I ordered this, I thought I was getting the box that Cabela's gives you when you buy bulk ammo. I was wrong! My fault for not reading the dimensions better. It's much smaller! I was able to fit 6 boxes of 9mm or 45ACP ammo in it and thats all. So take that into consideration. But... the quality is identical to the bigger box. I actually may buy another one or two as it is a handy size and seems quite durable.

Great Carryall Box

I've had 2 of these boxes for a couple of years. One box is loaded with ammo in storage and the other I carry with me daily when I leave the house.
I carry a laundry list of items in the second box such as: 45acp 4" , spare 45 clip , spare AR 30rd clip , sunglasses , camera , telephone , TP , combo camera sunglasses (they're neat) , medicine , earplugs , extra pack of cigarettes , extra butane lighter , 2-way radio/weather , knife (SOG) , sometimes I even throw in a bottle of Dr. Pepper !
Plenty of room and nothing gets wet when caught in the rain out on the lake !
